What’s Happening in Physical Education in Term 3 2026:

FOUNDATION

Foundation students will be introduced to the basic skills of Cricket and Tee-Ball. Striking and throwing skills will be practiced individually to begin with, as the term progresses we will use these skills within small groups and modified games.

GRADE ONE

Students will be focusing on learning the basic skills of Netball, Basketball and Athletics. These skills will be used in modified games, with a focus on good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Students will create and adapt games with others and co-construct rules that make the game fun, safe, fair and inclusive.

GRADE TWO

Students will be focusing on learning the basic skills of Netball, Basketball and Athletics. These skills will be used in modified games, with a focus on good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Students will create and adapt games with others and co-construct rules that make the game fun, safe, fair and inclusive.

GRADE THREE

Students will begin the term by completing their Athletics unit to introduce them to the Track and Field events that will be included in our House Athletics Carnival.

Students will work on refining striking skills using a variety of equipment and exploring modifications to technique when striking for accuracy and distance.

All students will participate in our House Athletics Carnival at Craigieburn Athletics Track.

GRADE FOUR

Students will begin the term by completing their Athletics unit to continue to develop their knowledge and ability to perform different Track and Field events.

Students will work on refining striking skills using a variety of equipment and exploring modifications to technique when striking for accuracy and distance.

All students will participate in our House Athletics Carnival at Meadowglen Athletics Track.

GRADE 5/6

Students will begin the term by completing their Athletics unit to continue to develop their knowledge and ability to perform different Track and Field events.
