Westmeadows Primary School Canteen - Fuelling Futures, One Delicious (and Healthy!) Lunch at a Time!

 Ever wondered who's behind those fantastic, healthy lunches filling up the tummies of our kids? Look no further than our amazing canteen crew! Lead by the wonderful Ami, alongside Michelle, our canteen is a vibrant hub of deliciousness, whipping up yummy and nutritious options for our students.

We're open three days a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – bringing you a menu aligned with the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development's Healthy Choices Policy. That means plenty of goodness on offer, catering to everyone with vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free options available! We like to keep everyone happy!

Want in on the lunch action? It's easy! Simply place your lunch orders by 8am through our super handy online ordering app, Qkr! Please note, to ensure we can keep everything running smoothly, we can't accept late or over-the-counter lunch orders.

But wait, there's more! During lunch and afternoon recess, we have a counter bursting with healthy and yummy snacks (cash only!) – a great way for kiddos to learn about money and making smart, nutritious choices. Think tasty treats and brain-boosting bites! Please note, no hot foods or lunch items are available for counter purchase.

Now for the bit where we need YOU! To keep our fantastic canteen running and feeding our hungry learners, we rely on our incredible volunteer helpers. We offer a flexible roster, so even if you only have a little time to spare, we'd love your help! Whether it’s once a term, once a month, or once a fortnight, every little bit makes a huge difference. You'll usually be in the canteen from 9:15 am to 12:30 pm, and trust us, it’s a fun and rewarding way to get involved.

Volunteering isn't just about helping out; it’s a fab way to meet other parents and feel even more connected to our school community - not to mention the HUGE thrill it gives the kids to see their favourite grownups in the canteen!
