What’s Happening in Physical Education in Term 3 2024:
FOUNDATION
Foundation students will be introduced to Cricket and play modified games that require striking and fielding skills. Students will also explore how regular physical activity keeps individuals healthy and well.
GRADE ONE
Grade 1 students will be focusing on creating games in small groups and working together cooperatively. They will also be discussing how the body reacts to participating in different physical activities and how they are feeling. Particularly identifying and sharing positive feelings they experience when participating in physical activities.
GRADE TWO
Grade 2 students will be focusing on creating games in small groups and working together cooperatively. They will also be discussing how the body reacts to participating in different physical activities and how they are feeling. Particularly identifying and sharing positive feelings they experience when participating in physical activities.
GRADE THREE
Grade 3 students will be focusing on racquet sports throughout Term 4 and get the chance to participate in and create games that use striking skills. They will also examine the benefits of physical activity and physical fitness to health and wellbeing while completing fitness challenges.
GRADE FOUR
Grade 4 students will be focusing on racquet sports throughout Term 4 and get the chance to participate in and create games that use striking skills. They will also examine the benefits of physical activity and physical fitness to health and wellbeing while completing fitness challenges.
GRADE 5/6
Grade 5/6 students will be focusing on different Football codes and racquet sports throughout Term 4. Striking skills will continue to be developed and put to use in matches that include more advanced rules and scoring. Students will have the opportunity to perform different roles in team games including umpiring, scoring and coaching.
